PERLESMITH Universal TV Stand Table Top TV Base
Purchased a new 65′ vizio tv with the understanding that the tv legs were wider than my existing stand. Researched and determined that this perlesmith universal base was perfect for my tv’s weight and size. For a 1/4 of the cost of purchasing a new stand (and possibly not fitting in the designated area) i decided for a table top base. My son helped me put it together. And times you need a second person to help lift the tv onto the base and move it until it is centered. Took approximately a half hour to put the stand together and get everything on the original stand. The pictures show the need for organizing the various cables behind the stand to maintain a ‘clean’ look. I would recommend this table top stand from this manufacturer. It was delivered in the designated time frame.
I was impressed with how easy this product was to set up. Read the simple instruction all the way through before you start. The parts were all grouped and labeled. Everything was in plastic so as not to be scratched. I appreciate when this kind of detail goes into packing. The product seems sturdy enough. I’ve just received it, so any issues later, i will update this review.
Instructions were easy to follow, the wide base is excellent and none of the stand is flimsy at all. Used this for my tcl 6 series (r25 or whatever the most recent model is). I have it on the highest setting and there’s tons of room for a big center channel speaker if desired. Only thing i would have liked would be better adhesive stuff provided for the rubber feet that go under the glass plate, the adhesive tried to separate from the rubber when i was pulling off the pad. Tons of screws, washers and spacers provided, i would feel confident that this would be a universal fit for any tv on the market. Spend the extra buck for this one if you have a big tv, i think my tcl weighs in the neighborhood of 50 pounds and the stand is extremely stable even though i have it on the highest setting.
I bought a 75′ sony x900h to replace my old 70′ that went out. I needed a center stand though because my tv sits on my klipsch center channel speaker. When i looked at measurements for this, the base is the exact same size as that center channel speaker but was only rated to 70′. I guess sony tv’s don’t weigh much though as this stands weight rating was above weight of the tv. I took a chance and bought it and couldn’t be happier. It looks great, is sturdy, and dimensions were spot on for my application. Assembly was easy and instructions were good. It has two install heights on the pillar for a low install that puts the tv about 3′ from the base and another above that raises it to about 6′. It has small clips built in for cable management to keep everything clean looking.
We always had our tv on a ‘tv’ table sized to handle the the pedestal on which the tv was mounted. When we bought the new tv, there no longer was a pedestal, but legs mounted at either end of the 43′ screen. The legs were too far apart to fit on the table. This table top mount allowed us to convert the tv to a pedestal mounting and fit perfectly on the current tv table great idea. There is some assembling and some spacers that must be chosen. Mount one vertical bar, get it level and then copy the spacing on the second vertical bar.
