ELEPHAS Mini Projector

Received and set up the unit last night. Fairly easy to pair with phone after a few attempts. I wasn’t able to use the remote as i didn’t have batteries on hand and they don’t include them (which is always a nice bonus). I’m a bit frustrated by the fact i spent half as much as the projector cost on an hdmi adaptor cord so i can watch my paid netflix and hulu accounts and it doesn’t work. The reviews and company answers to questions say that due to restrictions from those streaming platforms you can’t mirror through wifi shows from those apps but you can if you have your phone directly plugged in. I tried both my ipad and iphone x. At this point i wasted $40 on a cord and now need to buy a fire stick in order to be able to watch anything. I read in the companies description of the unit how quiet it is and it shows a picture of it next to a sleeping baby. I found the unit fan to be rather noisy but this is the first projector i’ve ever owned so perhaps it’s quiet in comparison to other units?.

Your browser does not support html5 video.  for a couple of months, i have looked around for the right projector in replacement of a tv- that isn’t too expensive but the quality is still good. Luckily, i saw this product when it had a lightning deal so it was a little cheaper than usual but for its price and $10 discount, i think that’s a great deal already. What i like about the product:- size. It’s pretty small compared to other projector but that’s what i like about it because i’m able to put it on top of my dad’s camera tripod. I bought the vankyo projector on amazon because i heard good reviews about it, but once it came home it was too big and heavy, i wasn’t sure where to place it for how not spacious my room is. – the screw on the bottom of the projector has a perfect size where i’m able to place it on top of my dad’s camera tripod where it has this little twisting thing. I tried using it for the vankyo projector, but it didn’t fit which means i would’ve had to buy their own projector stand and i wasn’t down to spend that much after how much their projector cost me, so i returned it. – the sound quality is good. For me personally, i only mostly use it at night, so everyone is asleep and it’s quiet so i don’t need it to be very loud. But sometimes their highest volume isn’t too loud, so if you want a more clear loud sound, there’s an aux place where you can connect your own speaker to it. According to most reviews and questions i saw, there’s no bluetooth for this projector *or most projector* so a bluetooth speaker isn’t an option. – there’s screen mirroring to connect and mirror from your phone or whatever device you have. It’s pretty simple, you press the mint blue picture that says screen mirroring and from there, there’s instruction for you to change your wifi etc.

My family loved this right out of the box. This was reasonably priced with all the bells and whistles i wanted. – is very portable- comes with a tripod stand, with adjustable height which is super helpful- all the connectors you need. – the best part is the screen mirroring with the iphone, which makes it very usable. We love to connect, share vidoes / pictures/songs from our iphonesfew things to consider before you buy — you will need a good screen- buy an extension cord. The power cord is not long enough, especially if you want to place this in the middle of the room, etc. = speakers are decent, but not greatok, most important learning – i was thinking that i can download a netflix movie and play with screen mirroring. No, it does not work this way. So another user had an excellent idea which works very well. I attached an old chromecast at the hdmi port.

The projector came today and my 12 year old daughter set it up with her laptop and had youtube filling my dining room wall within minutes. The iphone connection confused her, but we’ll figure it out together. The picture is so pretty in a dark room, but it’s also pretty visible even if the light is on in the room. The size of the projector seemed a little larger than i expected from the word ‘mini’ in the title, but it’s not too large for our purposes. I like that it included a tripod and remote in the box, too, so you could sit it on the floor or ceiling mount the projector.
