When the package arrives and it’s hugh you will jump around like your kinds on christmas when they got their first sony playstation but calm down you’re an adult. The picture i posted are of pacific beach in san diego. The colors are great and the 2160 movies are crystal clear. The remote control is underwhelming but nbd. Do not expect any assistance from tech support at samsung. Just start clicking buttons. The instruction manual is useless too.
You really need a large tv to appreciate 4k while sitting on a couch more than a few feet away. We put the 7 series 55′ upstairs with the old couch about 3 feet away from it. Ordered this 9 series 86′ for the living room. The tv is very light but still a 2 person lift because of the sheer size. After 3d printing some custom spacers for the mounting bracket, it popped on the wall in less than 10 seconds. The initial setup is intuitive for anyone that has used technology within the last 20 years. You literally just press the right button, as instructed, and then the center button. Connect to your wifi, sign in. Then it shows you how to use the volume control because it is a rocker switch, not a straight pushbutton. It grabs the apps you already use from your samsung account, sign into those and you’re pretty much good to go. Make sure to set optical audio to pcm for most hifi audio systems. The ‘auto detect’ probably works with cheap soundbars. Not sure how great the tv speaker is, i switched to the floorstanding speakers immediately.
i’m very picky about shopping. But i saw this samsung, a big tv, the price is okay, i didn’t hang it on the wall. My family and friends like him very much, and i am also very happy to buy it worth the price.
Perfect 86′ for a budget minded shopper. The remote is simple and easy to use. All in all a very good value.
