Had to use ‘lg conpanion’ freeware for auto shutdown w/ computer (needed wired ethernet and turn on the ‘other device can turn on’ setting). Great tv, i was scared this might not work but it’s brilliant, quality is extraordinary. Get a helper screen is only razor thin. . Support from base only when lifting. 100% happy on this purchase.
By far the best picture on a tv i have ever seen. I have the 48′ size which is perfect for my bedroom. I could only imagine how amazing the tv must look in bigger sizes. Pictures of the screen and tv do not even do it justice, which is why i did not include any. You just have to see the picture to understand. There is no backlight, each pixel emits its own light individually. That means infinite contrast, true blacks, the brightest whites and deepest colors. A regular led tv will always show black as slightly ‘gray’ because the pixels are being illuminated by a back or side light. On the lgoled that goes completely away. Side by side there is no comparison.
This purchase was for my bedroom, wanted the same features as my o-led signature tv in theliving room. You cannot beat the picture, quality, looks of an lg o-led tv. Many apps, like amazonprime, hbo max, lg, net-flex, fire tv, etc. Easy to set up, viewing is second to none, and even the soundis fantastic on the new sets. You will not regret purchasing this wonderful tv.
I bought this tv after trying a less expensive samsung that had an inconsistent the picture when switching channels. I had bought samsung tv’s in the pasti set up the lg and every thing seemed to go well at first; but. When i tried to go to air-play the tv would not connect to my wireless network. In addition the optical cable connx to a hearing aid amplifier was not working, i could not find a ‘reset to initial settings’ as well. The two pictures i post are what the error notes appeared when trying to connect wireless. After playing with turning the set off, rebooting the wireless, searching thru the menus (that did not seem complete) i finally unplugged the set from the wall and rebooted the router for a couple minutes. I was able to get everything in place and the wireless connected. I dont know which reboot did it but i suspect it was the actual unplugging of the tv from the wall outlet.
