First order was defective, developed black specks on display, will be receiving a replacement. Review will be edited after days of replacement use. Second purchas had same dark speck,dead pixel issue. Hoping they upgrade their dmd chip,hardware.

Had some initial issues getting my phone to play netflix but our internet is bad. Our provider cannot provide more than 15 mb/s and we are usually around 7. We hooked a chromecast into it and then it worked great.I would recommend a chromecast or firestick if you have internet issues. The sound and video is great. The fact that it comes with a screen is awesome. It also has 3m sticky tape options so you don’t have to worry about it ruining paint/texture on drywall.

I bought this projector for personal use in projecting movies, sporting events, etc. I am not a super-picky afficionado of this kind of equipment – just wanted something decent for casual personal use. I didn’t want to spend an exorbitant amount, but also didn’t want a cheap-looking picture & poor sound. I took a gamble on this projector, figuring if it wasn’t worth it, i’d return it. The box contained all the necessary connections plus a screen to project onto as well. Setup was a breeze – it includes a manual in the box (which seems like a rarity these days), but i didn’t even need to read it to get started, as the controls are easy and intuitive if you’ve ever projected for business or personal things before. The connections are good and secure, and sharpness and color of the picture surprised me – i was honestly expecting less. My only minor gripe is that the fan noise is a bit louder than ideal, but that’s a small nitpicky thing given all the pluses.

Wonderfully surprised by how nice this projector is. Sound and picture quality surpassed our expectations. We wanted to upgrade our current projector set up without breaking the bank. The projector stayed nice and cool with minimal fan sound and the volume was louder and clearer than we expected so we didn’t need to use external speakers. Definitely recommend this projector to anyone looking for a great quality machine at an affordable price.

Last year i set up an outdoor movie area for the family to do movie nights during the warmer spring / summer evenings. I purchased a hi-04 mini dr j proctor and have been very satisfied with that purchase. It was my first time in the projector market so i was looking for something affordable, durable, light weight and able to do some basic outdoor movies. While the hi-04 mini was great for a started model, i was always tinkering with it to try and get the screen brighter for when it wasn’t as dark, or to increase the picture quality. Something i was limited to since it was a budget projector, but it still workedthen along came the new upgraded model. The brightness, the picture quality, the ease of use, the features. Such an upgrade from the previous model. I only got to watch 3 movies but already i noticed how much easier it was to get the quality and distance right. Its much brighter so i should be able to watch movies a bit earlier toothe menus are easy to use and follow.
