DBPOWER Native 1080p Wifi Projector

Your browser does not support html5 video.  i wasn’t sure what to expect from this projector at first. It was a brand i had heard of but wasn’t sure where, but i decided to give them a chance as the price was perfect and it had great specs. I was nothing short of astounded with what this projector brought to the table, and my phone doesn’t begin to capture how well it preformed through those pictures and the video. You’ll have to excuse the black dot in the middle of the screen as i had a screw in the wall for hanging a picture, but that will be removed, filled in, and painted as that wall is going to be used for the projector now once i clean that up. I just couldn’t wait to get it running and share how great this is. For starters just the build quality of it is something to admire. It has a nice fabric feel to the top of it with firm clicks to actuate the button controls, and a cleverly hidden led on the lip of this piece to show when the projector is on standby or is on. The fan that keeps it cool is not noticeable at all while running and it moves plenty of air to prevent overheating. The side of the projector has a pop off panel containing the filter for the fan, and the front includes a handy lens cover that securely attaches but is easy to remove.

This is probably the best projector you can get in this price range. It’s quite bright with great picture quality and contrast, even in a moderately lit room (though of course dim light or dark is ideal and quite stunning). Something i learned today that made me write this review is that when i was doing weekly cleaning, i noticed it has a replacable filter for the air intake. Projectors i have had in the past did not have this and quickly accumulated dust. You do not want to have to take a projector apart and clean it. It’s a pain, and you will never have the out-of-the-box picture quality again. I do not anticipate that being an issue here. The picture quality is top-notch. It is by far the clearest and brightest one i have ever used. The sound quality is also very good and can definitely get loud enough to get the full movie theater experience. It is very easy to change the screen size and connect to the wifi if desired. The remote it comes with makes using this projector a breeze. I just plugged my usb drive in and started watching some movies that i had one them. I don’t have many free walls in my small apartment to projector the picture onto so i just tried it on the back of my blackout curtains. Even in the daytime this projector works wonders and seems easier to see than a standard tv.I might need to get a projection screen until i have a big enough wall that i can use.

I am in a temporary living situation and haven’t been able to take my 50” tv out of storage for over a year. I’ve been watching movies on my desktop computer, but miss the big screen experience, so decided to try using a projector. I purchased a mini projector (200” max picture) and it worked great, but i wanted a bigger, brighter picture, so decided to try the db 1080p 8500l projector which has a 300” picture…. Wowi projected the image onto a blank wall in my bedroom and watched a netflix movie using a usb c to hdmi cable (i had to buy this for using the projector with my phone). The projector has a built-in speaker, which works well, but i decided to use the auxiliary audio output jack and connect to my jbl bluetooth speaker – what a great experiencesharp, bright, and excellent balanced color picture – and great sound, thanks to that aux jack. Projector reviewi own both the dbpower l21 lcd video projector and the dbpower native 1080p wifi projector which is this projector, with the first projector being a less expensive model, but after setting up this projector which is about double the price, the money is clearly worth it. The first part of dbpower native that stood out to me is there is just one knob adjuster and it’s focus, the keystone (tilt) is entirely digitally controlled. Also very impressive is once focused, even with significant keystone tile, the entire screen stays focused, and the keystone gives a lot of room for mounting or leaving on a low table if you don’t want to set it up level to your wall or screen. This means you can get amazing screen quality at any angle. This model also brings wi-if connectivity and ios screen share alongside a pc/android version, where as the previous model i owned (l21) only had the pc/android screen sharing. The ios screen mirror is compatible with both computers and phones. No matter what device you have you won’t have to worry about cords and connectors. The remote is larger and more responsive, the transitions between menu selections are crisp and clean. To remove the sleek lens cover simply turn the focus knob. It does not come with a carrying case like the less expensive model and is about an inch wider/longer, but a much more appealing look.
