Craig Cvd401a Compact Hdmi Dvd Player

A great item for the size and price. This replaced an old one with an old connection system. It worked great right out of the box. So great, in fact, i bought another one for my grandson. He is tech savvy and very pleased with this, also.

I particularly like that it has hdmi output. I’ve had a hard time finding one that does. Certainly can’t go wrong with the price. I was surprised though that it didn’t include an hdmi cable. Instead it came with a set of rca cables. (it does work with rca cables.

I got two of these to run different tv’s at a trade show. They’re the least expensive i could find with an hdmi port and both worked flawlessly, even when we ran then straight for a week, 24 hours a day on a continuous loop. They’re a nice small size too. The only thing, you need the control since not all the buttons you need are on the actual player but that wasn’t an issue for me.

It is very small and hardly weighs much and i have to get very close to use the remote control even with new batteries installed and it does not read some of the dvd’s that i have recently bought from walmart and many of the buttons on the remote are useless and don’t respond but the picture quality is good even on older movie dvd’s just be extremely careful to make sure your dvd is in the tray completely (tray is very flimsy) otherwise it will jam badly and almost impossible to reopen. Happened the 2nd time i use it , had it 2 months now.

This is a pretty standard dvd player – it plays a dvd with no problems, great. However it is missing a few features that i am used to having with a dvd player. For one, if you pause the dvd for longer than around ten minutes you will no longer be able to start it where you left off – instead you will be starting your movie over from the beginning. Also, there is no display telling you where you are in the movie, so there’s no way to know exactly how far you are into the movie unless you track when you start it. Neither of these are very big deals, and this is a fairly low cost dvd player so it’s no frills. But those are things to think about before making the purchase.
