SAMSUNG 55-Inch Class Neo Qled Qn90a Series – 4k Uhd Quantum Hdr 32x Smart Tv
Tv looks great on 4k, hdr and all the old content too, everything looks 4k. Upscaling works great, better than nvidia shield pro. Only blooming i see is on netflix logo on the tv app. When i watch on nvidia shield pro there is no blooming on netflix logo. So if you see blooming on netflix,, it is not your tv. I have got a 55 inch and when it arrived instead of being excited, i was riddled with worry as many people do, about dse, blooming and all the rest. I marked all the test videos and gotten ready before hand. Now, i couldn’t test the screen before it was put up over the fireplace.
Coming from a 2017 oled from lg. It had a great picture, despite tweaking the screen saver to come on at the earliest time frame of inactivity the tv had awful burn in from my use of the onboard youtube app. Play buttons burned into the lower right hand corner, upper left, etc. Lg support was no help, even if i offered to pay for repairs (new panel replacement). So i was disappointed to say the least. So now i am in a position where i need a tv that does not burn in, but still doesn’t disappoint visually after coming from an oled (which really do have amazing contrast levels, and decent brightness). 2000 nits of brightness vs 600 i think on the oled. The black levels are as good as oled so far, indistinguishable to me. The youtube app which gets a lot of use is snappy, and better than the lg one as the thumnails play a preview of the video before clicking. This was really important to me. The picture is beautiful, vivid, and clear. It’s heavier than the lg i had, but only because the stand is robust and of good quality.
Crystal clear picture quality. Worth every penny (and they were quite a few pennies). Takes a little bit getting used to picture brightness, especially if you are not accustomed to qled quality. The remote is solar powered which was something new to us. Instructions for remote state that it will charge with ambient indoor light or sun light. You have the option of charging the remote with a usb c type charger (not included), which is much faster. Overall, we are very satisfied with our new tv and really enjoy the bright and clear colors.
Great picture and great features. Went to best buy and viewed prior to purchasing. Get the same quality picture at home. Delivered in perfect condition and a day early.
Replaced a 2017 samsung 6 series 4k entry level tv with the qn90a. I had originally ordered a sony a8h oled (amazon prime day lightening deal at an amazingly low price) but as i was waiting for it to be delivered i kept worrying about burn in as the tv is on most days 18 hours a day (5000+ hours/yr). I cancelled the order and ordered the samsung. This tv does indeed get much brighter and greatly enhances 4k hdr viewing. Hd and 4k viewing is somewhat better than my old tv but not to the degree of improvement that is shown in 4k hdr, so don’t expect an amazing transformation for non 4k hdr if your coming from an older samsung 4k tv. Viewing angle is much improved. We do not use the tv for gaming or pc screen so can’t comment about those uses. I am not a videophile so absolute black levels and super high nits aren’t something that i spend time agonizing over. Just concerned about how the picture looks to me under normal use. A major issue is the reflection you get when watching in the evening with any lights on.
