Update 08/15/2018i’ve used this a while and really like the product. Remember this is a personal area network type of device (think network). The one nit i have to pick is issues when using this device with a vpn like cisco anyconnect. Depending on the vpn settings you may not be able to use this product when connected to the vpn. Seems to work on some but not others. Hasn’t been enough of a pain to me to figure out why but you need to be aware this is something that could impact your experience. Original review follows:excellent convenient way to add display capabilities to your device. Took out of box, connected the included power dongle, plugged into power outlet , connected via hdmi to monitor and ready to go. So far used on 2 devices without a hitch. #1 – lenovo yoga 720 15′ running windows 10.

A bit more expensive than some of the others out there, but the reviews here and elsewhere on the internet were good. Took all of 1 minute to mirror my phone to the tv. Plug in, power up via the included usb cable and included power supply or with a nearby usb port on your tv. Tv showed info right away, devices easily picked up when searching. Streaming was not choppy and audio was fine. Can’t take the device more than 30 feet away or there will be playback problems. Line of site works the best. It’s a little bigger than it looks. There is an included 6′ hdmi m to f cable. If you have clearance limits behind your tv.

Samsung s6 owners must read this. The s6 no longer supports mhl ( hdmi direct input with adapter corded to the tv) i purchased the samsung allcast wireless hub and it did work but with less than adequate results. The video playback when mirroring was choppy and robotic. Connecting the device was a struggle constantly having to push the reset button. I also bought a microsoft wireless display adapter, no luck connecting with that either. I though i was out of options and i tried this. Phone connects with no issues and the playback on the tv is smooth with no lag. You do not need internet service with this device. ( you will use the data on your phone).

I am simply in love with my screen beam mini 2. When i first moved to my new apartment i didn’t have any wi-fi set up. But i did have a lot of apps already on my phone. One of my friends told me about the screen beam mini so i went to amazon to check it out. I looked up what it could do when i knew was perfect for me, so i purchased one right away. Since then i’ve got my wi-fi in and i even have an amazon fire stick, but i still like to do a cast screen with my phone so that i can watch it on my other tv. The great thing about it is that you don’t have to have wi-fi in order for it to work, you can use your phone’s data and works just fine. This is a awesome device and i recommend it to anyone.

Just plug it in and the rest is done from your phone. Comes with a short hdmi extension, micro usb cable, and a 1amp output ac adapter. Connected to a moto x pure, and zenfone 2 no problem. My new pixel 5′ was a different story though. Wouldn’t show up in the pixels screen cast setting.
