LG BP175 Blu-Ray DVD Player

Decent inexpensive blu-ray player. No complaints other than i could have bought it cheaper in a big box store.

Works well, easy to install. One thing to make note of is to have internet connection, it needs to be hard line. Bought one and then bought another.

There were cheaper ones, but i wanted a brand name (lg). One thing it seems to be missing – unless it’s a setup option that i missed – is a dvd-time-played vs. Dvd-time-remaining display ( on the device itself or on the tv) when i hit pause (something other dvd players provide). But a) i’ll look at setup options again b) i can live without the display if i must.

Only using it for playing disks. Great picture quality for blu-ray and dvd. Only weakness is there’s a delay in the sound coming back on after you pause or rewind.

I did a web chat with a lg representative as you can see in the pics. There is no app store for android. Not even a lg smart world as he called it for this player and he said it was there. I did what he asked of me and gave pics during the web chat. There is no icon for downloading other apps or there as well. Half the apps as they claim is not there. Other than that it plays dvd, bluray and mkv. Sorry there is only 2 pics of this. I followed his instruction and posted pics in the chat box to show him where i was at.
