Picture quality is superb a sony staplehowever. . Buy a sound bar you will be glad you did. My background – fist major tv purchase since my 1999 sony kv-32xbr100 which was arguably the greatest analog picture of all time which lasted 20 years and that replaced my first generation of sony xbr 25. Getting the benefits derived from the alexa interface has been more challenging than it should have been, especially when compared to my other alexa enable devices which were pretty much a ‘snap’. Sony and amazon (alexa) need to come up with a more effective way to setup and integrate these two technologies with the skills command in amazon sub category sony tv. Would have gotten 5 stars if it weren’t for alexa set upgoogle set up is far easier and all went according to hoyle. Have not gamed on this ‘set’ yet but, when i do, i’ll redo the review.
It’s typical of sony products. Great sharp picture and easy setup. Decent price and free delivery. I don’t use the smart tv features. I use it with my comcast xfinity cable system. The xfinity remote will control this tv. I just wish the sony remote had a bigger ‘mute’ button on it.
So the 2021 model is much faster with google tv compared to the old android tv. The interface is really good and the picture quality is decent to the price, but not as the x900 series i had few years ago. Still, viewing angles are much better than the x900. Speakers are crap just as every other tv. The remote is bluetooth now which is much better – but i dont understand why it has to be so big and clunky. I highly prefer samsung metal remote.
Of course there will be a great picture. My last sony (40′ lasted for 13 years. This one is taking a bit of a learning curve, such as: when powered on, the apps are presented for your selection. The tv app has to be chosen in order to access the station selection. The remote control requires a major learning curve.
I got this tv to replace a 60-inch samsung 3d television i purchased seven or eight years ago. The quality on that tv was beautiful but the screen started to go bad so i had to move on. I bought this one thinking it was going to be pretty good and for the most part it is but i have not gotten used to how to use the remote. It has a lot of different features but i’m trying to find out what’s the best way she use it for me. Another bummer is it does not have the xfinity app so that i don’t have to continue using the xfinity box. The way around this is to install it through prime video but when i go back to it it means i’m going to have do several clicks through prime before i can watch the live television have fun.
