The camera has good picture quality both day and night. Motion detection doesn’t pickup to far away. If you’re looking for just event notification and video its a good camera, but if you want to 24/7 recordings along with event notification you need to look elsewhere. The zoom capabilities are not great, you can only zoom in just a little bit.

I placed this camera in my driveway just before purchasing a new suv. The camera offers a lot of features and functions that are very useful. One extra advantage that i did not think of is the size. It might not sound like you want a large camera but in my opinion, it serves as a deterrent plus if a person walks from the sidewalk into my driveway the second and third deterrents light and siren) will let the intruder know ‘hey i am here watching you’. The set up is very easy and the detection zones work perfectly. In my case i do not get false alarms while people are walking on the sidewalk but as soon as they step in the driveway the alarm and recording begins. For those picky tech people the only complain i can mention is that it could be slow connecting with your cell phone.

I’m a fan of eufy surveillance cameras, but this one has been disappointing so far. Pros:-great day time video performance as expected. -motion detection has been fine for me besides the morning time (see cons). The pir sensor appears to extend further than the 2c or 2c pros that i have, but it could be related to mounting positions, etc. I see that a lot of others have had problems with motion though. Possibly software related?-the spotlights on either side are color warmth/brightness adjustable. – solar charging has worked great for me. Cons:-my biggest gripe about this camera is that it needs a lens hood. In humid environments (i live in florida) the lens gets fogged up due to morning dew. This renders the camera useless.

As a previous arlo security camera user, i love eufy security cameras simply because they do not require a monthly subscription and they do not require expensive lithium ion battery replacements every 3 months. After a new year’s morning car break in i purchased this camera to cover the front of the house and specifically my car. I love the built-in solar panel for recharging each day but did not realize when i purchased this camera that it also has a really bright floodlight that comes on when it starts recording at night. Yet another deterrent to thieves because now they know they are being recorded. Of all the eufy cameras i have purchased this is my favorite because 1) i never have to charge it or buy replacement batteries, 2) really bright spotlight, and 3) 2k color nighttime videos equal to daytime quality instead of ir black and white videos.

This security camera has been up and running since december 1 and other than the install on the garage eave by an old man on a ladder, there are no issues with its operation. I did survive the ladder install and the camera is securely in place. The solar panel works great and i have a good field of view picture down the driveway and surrounding area. Motion detection and picture quality is good both day and night. I have had no connectivity issues and i am certain my wifi extender plays an important roll in strong wifi connection. Loom wifi extender: i purchased a loom extender from amazon and its helps bring a very strong signal with no drop off of signal. Shortly after receipt of the loom extender i could no longer find the product on amazon. I am not sure why it is no longer offered but i am certain it plays a major role in the great and stable signal and picture i am able to get on this camera. It is still available from loom online but the extender has mysteriously disappeared from amazon web site. . Why was this product dropped???. Anyway, i am very happy with this camera and extender and i highly recommend both products if your in the market. I previously bought an arlo and i never could get a good stable picture so i returned and bought the eufy.
